Where I Spent 4 1/2 Years

Where I spent 4.5 years.

The building was constructed sometime between 1951 and 1961. the building which I have worked in for the past 4.5 years was built at 4311 Jamboree Road, Newport Beach, CA. It is believed that it was first used as a court house and jail.

In 1961 Collins Radio relocated its Western Division from Burbank to the building located at 4311 Jamboree Road, Newport Beach, CA.

In 1971 Collins Radio merged with Rockwell International. In 1999, Rockwell International spun-off its Rockwell Semiconductor business as Conexant Systems. In 2001 what was left of Rockwell International was split into two companies; Rockwell Automation and Rockwell Collins.  In 2008, Conexant Systems sold the land and buildings located at 4311 Jamboree Road to  land and it’s buildings but has continued to use part of it as its corporate data center.  ceased being the conglomerate it once was and spun off

SEATTLE, Aug. 1, 1996 — The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) and Rockwell International Corporation (NYSE:ROK) announced today that they have signed a definitive agreement under which Boeing will acquire Rockwell’s Aerospace and Defense businesses.

Immediately prior to the merger, Rockwell will transfer its Automation, Avionics, Communications, Semiconductor Systems and Automotive Components Systems businesses to a new company, which will keep the Rockwell name. Shares of the new Rockwell will be distributed to Rockwell shareowners just prior to the effectiveness of the merger on a one-for-one basis. The new Rockwell will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

  • Heavy Vehicle Systems

In 2010, Conexant sells the 25 acre site at 4311 Jamboree Road to Uptown Newport LP which has obtained permission from the city and will build the Uptown Newport residential
